“I will place my law in them, write it upon their hearts, I will be their God
and they shall be my people.”
Jeremiah 31: 31-34

The purpose of this Catholic community is to live out the Gospel of Jesus in our relationships. We are empowered to give flesh to the Good News of the Gospel, through our words and actions.

Campus Ministry at Marist College Ashgrove offers a comprehensive Christian service-learning outreach program, open to students, staff and families.

It is at its heart about Faith and Spirituality, Relationship and Leadership, Service and Solidarity.

Campus Ministry aims to:

  • Build a Spirituality of Service within the College
  • Establish on-going relationships within these ministries
  • Encourage an awareness of the needs of others
  • Provide opportunities for leadership by our students
  • Journey with those at the margins of our society

It is a process of evangelization through action prayer and service.

It uses a solidarity model that encourages questioning of the social conditions which cause and perpetuate poverty, injustice and inequality.

So we direct our journey to those places where others would prefer not to go, to enter into the suffering there, like Mary at the foot of the cross, and to be a presence and service that remains faithful, despite the risks.
