There’s no doubt that ANZAC Day 2020 will be different from how we traditionally commemorate. While we cannot gather at services and marches, we can be together in spirit.
At 6am this coming Saturday 25 April, let us as a Marist community stand at the end of our driveways in full school winter uniform (Blazers for Years 11 & 12 and long sleeve grey shirt and tie for Years 5 – 10). This act of solidarity is a sign of respect for all past and present servicemen and women. Let us pause for one minute in silence and join with your fellow students and Australians in keeping the Anzac spirit strong.
After the silence, we would like you to get a photo of yourself in your uniform. This simple task of taking the photo will show that not only is the ANZAC spirit strong within the Marist family but that the Marist family is itself strong in these trying times. We ask you to email the photo to firstname.lastname@example.org
As a united group, we ask you to join us, the Marist community, to stand as a unified front – showing our true ‘battler’ nature. Showing the world that we are Mates all the time!
