QLD MINERALS & ENERGY ACADEMY


FOUNDATION SCHOOL OF QLD MINERALS & ENERGY ACADEMY (QMEA)

Marist College Ashgrove is now a foundation school of Queensland Minerals & Energy Academy (QMEA).  It is part of the Moranbah hub.
As a gateway school, Marist College Ashgrove will be able to access direct pathways into the Minerals and Energy industries.
The Academy will support interested students in work placement, cadetships, traineeships and apprenticeships.
30 Marist students will be eligible for 2 weeks’ work experience. The QMEA Joint Policy for work placement will be published in April 2006. 

What is QMEA? – Qld Minerals & Resources Academy

  • QMEA works with Qld Resources Council (QRC) which is a collective of companies and with Queensland Education.

What are the aims of QMEA?

  • To assist in development of relationships between schools and industry.
  • To open up opportunities for real opportunities to students.
  • To facilitate connections to pathways for students.
