AIMS OF THE PROGRAM

Students use reflective processes in reviewing their participation in those procedures, skills and techniques particular to the field of endeavour they have chosen and which help build positive relationships within the community they create.  Each year program has the following aims and goals:

• To understand personal responsibility within a community
• To identify threats to the environments we visit
• To implement strategies that reflect respect for the environment
• To contribute to developing and maintaining a positive social and learning environment
• To set individual and team goals, and meet challenges with determination and perseverance
• To experience success through endeavour
• To make decisions and choices that reflect good judgement
• To maintain good hygiene
• To use and care for equipment
• To manage and prepare food, and
• To have fun

in achieving these goals we create a learning environment which places responsibility on the students and allows them to make decisions which affect them personally as well as affecting their peers.
