CATERING AND LAUNDRY

Five meals a day (breakfast, morning tea, lunch, dinner and supper) are served in the cafeteria style dining hall. For some meals the boarders are also welcome to take share the al fresco dining experience and take their meal in our garden BBQ area located alongside the main dining hall. Meals are substantial and are devised to ensure that boarders receive a wide variety of healthy foods. Fresh fruit and/or vegetables are an integral part of every menu. A salad bar is available each lunchtime to complement the lunchtime menu. Breakfasts have been enhanced by the provision of a coffee machine that allows boys the luxury of Cappuccinos, Short Blacks or even a Chocolate Latte. Special dietary needs are always catered for. Numerous theme nights and special celebratory meals bring variety to the boarders programme and also give the boys greater ownership of their dining facilities.

Those who work in the ranks of the services staff have the boy’s needs at the very centre of their job description. Locating lost gear, extra special catering needs, labeling and mending clothing are all part of the extra care.

Marist is blessed to have a very competent and dedicated staff of cooks, launderers, house-keepers and cleaners who ensure that all the boarders’ material needs are met on a regular basis. There is a daily wash service for small articles in addition to the washing of clothing each weekday. Boarders’ linen is supplied with their laundry done on site. Each and every aspect of catering and laundry are overseen by the Head of Boarding.
